Postcards From the Edge

When i started this assignment i wasn’t really sure what to take pictures of and started to think about the “First Things i see when i get to Plymouth” I started to look at the Ski slope or the Sainsbury’s Sails and on the opposite side i then thought about the Tamar Bridge. After having photographed both of these, i realised they were the epitome of a “Boring Postcard” and so played around with editing them but then came to the decision not to use them. I then started to explore and look into the Historical side of Plymouth and so went to the Barbican and took both of these images. I decided to make my final images Black and White to show the fact these are “OLD” and even created some grain on the pillar one to portray the old film camera aspect.
