Analysing a photo

Lots of things to consider when analysing an image, i tend to start with how i feel about the image…. Indifferent, happy, sad if i like or dislike it and so on, consider emotions. I then consider why i feel those things and start to think about positives and negatives of those emotions. It is also important to consider composition, leading lines, rule of thirds and so on but these may already have been considered from the onset. It is important to then consider what an image is for, has it been taken simply as an expression of the photographers feelings or is it an advertising campaign? Is there anything in the foreground or background are there distracting or contradicting part to the image? How well is the use of the frame, is it balanced or off centre…?
